Connect

BIOS serves as a bridge, purposefully connecting athletics, research, and innovation at UW.
  • To understand the sports research on campus
  • To build community among UW-Madison sport researchers

Numerous Wisconsin scholars conduct sport-related research in areas such as kinesiology, education, sociology, technology, law, business, and health sciences. They share their findings in top academic journals and conference venues, but have not always found ways to connect their findings with Badger athletics.

BIOS fosters robust relationships between sports researchers, student-athletes, coaches, and leaders. In and through these relationships, UW athletics benefits from the innovative, cutting-edge work of Wisconsin researchers.
