Catalyze

BIOS catalyzes research and innovation by matching the interests of Badger athletics with leading sports scholars and trailblazers.
  • To catalyze is to begin. BIOS originates research on athletics.

UW coaches, student-athletes, and leaders are interested in pursuing research and innovations that allow us to compete at the highest levels of college sports. Additionally, BIOS engages bigger questions in sports – namely, how sports contribute to the growing good in our world.

BIOS catalyzes new projects focusing on sports innovation, sports performance, and the growing good. We instigate this research and innovation by matching the interests of Badger athletics with leading sports scholars and trailblazers. BIOS serves as the entry point for all who are interested in applying new ideas in Wisconsin sports settings. We eagerly solicit, vet, and help implement research and innovation projects with the aim of building meaningful new knowledge in sports.
