Coaches and leaders from around Wisconsin came together at Camp Randall Stadium for the BIOS Symposium on Leadership, Coaching, and Connectedness. We engaged emergent findings from the Wisconsin Coaching Project’s empirical study. And we heard front-line stories of practice from UW coaches Paula Wilkins, Bobby Engram, Kelly Sheffield, and Jim Leonhard. One of our aspirations with the Wisconsin Coaching Project is to develop and support the field of coaching in and beyond our state. The Symposium presented a meaningful advancement toward this goal.

Over the months ahead, the BIOS team will continue collecting data from top coaches. We’ll share and compare findings with UW’s coaches. We’ll disseminate the work with schools and communities throughout the Badger state.

We firmly believe that coaches are important educational leaders who can help grow the good in our world. Come join us on our journey toward a Wisconsin Way of coaching and leading!
